Taste of Louisiana Scholarship Reception is more than just a fundraiser—it's a vibrant celebration of culture, cuisine, and community spirit. Here's what makes it special Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and fund our mission to support Louisiana youth.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the more than 200 high school seniors who applied for the 2026 Louisiana Red Beans & Rice Foundation Scholarship. Your passion, creativity, and dedication truly inspired us. While our finalists have not yet been selected, our review committee is actively narrowing down the strongest applicants. This year’s finalists will include one male and one female student who will be crowned the festival’s King and Queen, serving as ambassadors for the Louisiana Red Beans & Rice Heritage & Music Festival throughout the year. Finalists will be officially announced on March 21 at the Louisiana Red Beans & Rice Heritage & Music Festival, and additional details will be shared at the Scholarship Reception. We warmly invite all semifinalists, along with their friends and families, to join us at the Taste of Louisiana Scholarship Reception, where you’ll have the opportunity to meet our founders, sponsors, and community partners who make this scholarship possible.
On behalf of the Louisiana Red Beans and Rice Foundation, we invite you to participate in our annual Scholarship Campaign by choosing to "Adopt a Senior."
This year, our goal is to award ten deserving high school seniors with a $2,500 scholarship each to help them pursue their college education and future careers. These scholarships are a vital part of our mission to support youth development and educational dreams in our community.
By "adopting a senior," you will be directly contributing to one of these $2,500 scholarships, giving a student the crucial financial support they need to start their journey. Your support will not only provide financial relief but also send a powerful message that our community believes in their potential.
Your generosity can change a life. Please consider making a contribution today to help us reach our goal of funding all ten scholarships.
